Education is a large part of our practice and dental care is no exception. We provide pet owners with the necessary information about dental care and disease prevention, and work closely with you and your pet for the best possible outcome.
Our doctors are specially trained in dental care. During an examination we frequently find teeth that appear normal but are actually diseased. This can be very important because even if your pet is eating, they may still be in severe pain.
During routine cleaning procedures, and when dental treatment is necessary, you can be confident that we are using advanced equipment and protocols to ensure your pet receives the best care. Our dental suite is equipped similarly to a human dental office. We have digital dental radiography and computerized dental charting software for dogs and cats.
We administer general anesthesia to eliminate awareness, movement and discomfort during dental treatment. A customized protocol is used to administer the anesthesia which takes into consideration the important physical variables of your pet. Although there is some risk associated with general anesthesia, we monitor your pet closely during the procedure and take every precaution necessary to produce a safe and effective outcome.
